Pre-School Education students win big in PAFTE-NCR Summit, UST is overall champion

Last February 13, 2016, the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE) – NCR held its 2nd Student Teachers’ Summit held at the Social Hall of the National Teacher’s College, Manila. The event was a back-to-back research congress and a preset K-12 summit. This summit centered on the theme: Exploring K to 12 Learning Communities: Appreciating Research; Understanding 21st Century Learners.
The PAFTE-NCR Summit was laden with a variety of activities, from lectures, paper presentations, contests, and sharing of updates from DepEd and TEC. The College of Education students from the University of Santo Tomas triumphed in the series of competitions which showcased their talents and skills in academics, arts, and technology. 4th-year Preschool Education students, Relisa Abaca (1st place, Audio Visual Presentation Making), Angelica Ebuen (1st place, Essay Writing), Josen Nichole Teope (2nd place, Photography), and Yanah Jon Princess Torreses (2nd place, Instructional Material Making) along with 3rd Year Preschool Education student, Alanis Mindana (2nd place, Videotaped Demo Teaching), successfully captured plums for the University of Santo Tomas as they strode off with victory as the overall champion in this year’s PAFTE-NCR summit.
