Literature, CCWLS, RCCESI, LitSoc, Grad. School host lecture on intercultural dialogue

Last October 21, 2015, British author Qaisra Shahraz visited the University of Santo Tomas for a lecture at the Thomas Aquinas Research Complex. The lecture was spearheaded by the Department of Literature of the Faculty of Arts and Letters, along with the Center for Creative Writing and Literary Studies, Research Center for Culture, Education, and Social Issues, Literary Society, and the Graduate School.
Shahraz is known for infusing Islamic culture in her work, in attempts to combat racism and Islamophobia—a perfect match for the theme “Using Literature as a Tool to Build Bridges, Raise Awareness about Gender Issues, and Promote Intercultural Dialogue.”
