Naguit wins 1st place in Harvard Project Asia Conference

Raymond John Naguit, a Doctor of Medicine student, was one of UST’s two delegates to the August 20-24, 2015 Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) Asia Conference held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. In the said conference, students from all over Asia and the United States interacted for a rigorous five-day academic engagement that tackled issues pertaining mainly to the achievement of the millennium development goals.
Following lectures from Ayala Corporation Chairman and CEO Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, Budget Secretary Florencio Abad, and US Ambassador to the Philippines Philip Goldberg, the participants were divided into panels, and Naguit was assigned to the Health and Social Policy panel.
Naguit joined a team of delegates within that panel and was asked come up with a case study that will be responsive to a related issue. Their chosen topic, Teenage Pregnancy, later on won them first place in the Health and Social Policy panel.
