CRS faculty members complete Compumedics Neuroscan Curry 7 Course

Four faculty members of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences completed a workshop training entitled “Compumedics Neuroscan Curry 7 Course” last September 7-9, 2015 at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU).
Christopher Cruz, PTRP from the Physical Therapy Department and Ma. Lorena Igna, MOH, OTRP from the Occupational Therapy Department were granted complimentary registration in the workshop by virtue of the long-standing collaborative relationship between UST and HKPU. They joined two other CRS faculty members who are currently pursuing their doctorate degrees in HKPU, Mr. Ivan Neil Gomez, MASpEd, OTRP and Ms. Paulin Grace Morato, MASpEd, OTRP.  The training was attended by various professionals from different allied health and medical fields all over the world.
 
The workshop featured the use of electroencephalogram (EEG) and Curry 7 software, as presented by experts, Dr. Curtis Wade Ponton and Dr. Michael Wagner from Germany. The course was intended to enhance knowledge about brain activity and how this can be applied to health interventions.
