UST, SEAMEO-Innotech sign MOU


A memorandum of understanding was signed by the University of Santo Tomas, through the initiative of the College of Education, and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) – Innotech, last March 17, 2016.
 
The MOU is expected to generate meaningful collaborations in teacher training in Southeast Asia, such as co-organization of relevant seminars, workshops and trainings for teachers of Asean member countries; co-production of learning materials both printed and online for teacher training; co-authorship, co-presentation or co-publication of researches on innovative and technological education; and sharing of relevant data.
 
Signing for SEAMEO INNOTECH was Dr. Ramon C. Bacani, Centre Director and for UST, the Very Rev. Fr. Herminio V. Dagohoy, O.P., Rector. The Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Allan B. de Guzman, Ph. D. and the Director of the Office of International Relations and Programs, Prof. Lilian J. Sison, PhD, signed as witnesses for UST.
 
Witnessing for SEAMEO INNOTECH were Mr. Benito Benoza, Manager for Knowledge Management and Networking and Ms. Carolyn S. Rodriguez, Manager for Quality and Systems Management. Also present were Asst. Prof. Anna Cherylle M. Ramos, Director of the UST Educational Technology Center, Ms. Marichou T. Beltran, Elementary Education Coordinator, and Mr. Alvin Ringgo C. Reyes, the College of Education’s Coordinator for International Relations.
