Elementary education students unveil papercutting art creations

Last April 18, 2016 (Monday), the College of Education, in celebration of its 90th founding year, opened the exhibit entitled “Ibang Klase: Likhang Bayan Year 6″ at the Main Building Lobby. The exhibit contains various pieces of “Pabalat.”
 
A form of papercutting art, the “Pabalat” is an intricate paper design made by using pastillas wrappers. This three-day exhibit launched last April 18, 2016 featured pabalat designs created by Elementary Education students, in honor of the late Mrs. Luz Villaseñor Mendoza-Ocampo.
 
Fr. Isidro Abaño, O.P., Director of the UST Museu, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the ground floor lobby of the Main Building together with Prof. Clarita Carillo, PhD, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Asst; Prof. Anna Marie Bautista, Assistant Director of the UST Museum; Fr. Jesus Miranda Jr., O.P., Ph.D., Regent of the College of Education; and Prof. Allan B. de Guzman, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Education.
