Thomas Adrian Tiongson and Maria Charina Magsumbol, BS Biochemistry seniors of the UST Faculty of Pharmacy, won 1st place during the Poster Competition for the work entitled: Microencapsulation of Doxorubicin using reconstituted Oil Bodies from Cocus Nucifera L. and In Vitro Drug Release against cancer cells, together with their adviser, Ms. Myla Santiago, and Mr. Mark Kevin Devanadera. The award was given by the Philippine Society for Cell Biology during 6th Annual National Convention & Scientific Meeting held last October 26-27, 2015 at the Institute of Biology, University of the Philippines, Diliman.
The team bested the other graduate researches from other colleges and universities all over the Philippines.
