Madrunio of English hosts workshop on forensic linguistics in Free Linguistics Conference 2015

Prof. Marilu R. Madrunio, PhD, Dean of the Graduate School, delivered a seminar-workshop on forensic linguistics last September 24, 2015 (Thursday), at the Free Linguistics Conference held at De La Salle University, Manila.
During the lecture, Madrunio, considered the pioneer of forensic linguistics in the Philippines, presented how the field—which deals with linguistically analyzing, among others, death threats, suicide letters, and language forms used involved in crime scenes and court proceedings—can help deliver justice.
The Free Linguistics Conference was founded by Dr. Ahmar Mahboob of the University of Sydney, and its most recent installment was hosted in the Philippines.
