Bucu, Merilles, Guevarra, and Llenos of AB win 3rd place in community program dev’t. contest in Ho Chi Minh

The 1st  Dux Gregis: International Youth Leaders Convergence, held from June 25-28, 2015, organized the contest for youth leaders followings: Ten Outstanding Youth Programs of the World, World Tourism Marketing Challenge, International Heritage Showcase Competition, and Community Development Program : Research & Proposal Competition . 
In connection with these competitions, two Legal Management students from the Faculty of Arts and Letters won the Third Place in the Community Development Program: Research and Proposal Competition. Ms. Aleli Bucu Joyce and Marion Merilles He presented their project called THREAD, a livelihood program sponsored by the UST Legal Management Society for the women of Barangay West, Kabubuhayan, Nagcarlan.

Meanwhile, another team composed of Artlets Literature and Philosophy seniors was awarded Third Place also in the same category. Robert Ariel Guevarra Thereisana Llenos and came up with a proposal entitled READ-DREAM-a project which aims to educate the indigent groups of the far-flung communities in Luzon. Education is made ​​accessible to these indigent groups through a caravan that goes to the most remote areas. Guevarra and Llenos believed that this is the true meaning of empowerment, that is, "to affect the mindset of the individual that contributes to the betterment of our society."
