Lechago, Mariano, Pua, BS Chem. Eng’g. seniors, finalists in Indonesia Chem. Eng’g. Paper Competition 2016

The research entitled “Esterification and Transesterification of Cashew Nut Shell Liquid as Potential Source of Biolubricant” of fifth-year BS Chemical Engineering students, Harvey Lechago, Vaughn Exequiel Mariano and Arv Itiel Pua, together with their adviser Engr. Edsel Calica, was chosen as one of the fifteen finalists in the Indonesia Chemical Engineering Paper Competition 2016 (ICEPC 2016).
Two of the authors presented their paper last April 23, 2016 at the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia.
 
 
ICEPC 2016 is one of the sub-events of the Chemical Engineering Innovation Festival (Chernival), which is one of the biggest and most-awaited annual events in ITS. It aims to empower students and people in general, through the application of chemical engineering discipline. This year’s theme for the ICEPC 2016 was “Applicable technologies as world’s energy crisis solution”.
 
ICEPC 2016 was participated in by students coming from universities in Indonesia and Malaysia.
