Argao of Psychology named Diplomate of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress

Renz Christian Argao, a faculty member of the Department of Psychology of the College of Science and Supervising Psychologist of the Graduate School Psychotrauma Clinic, was named Diplomate of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress (AAETS).
The awards AAETS the Diplomate status to individuals in recognition of their knowledge, competencies, training and education, and experience in working with survivors of traumatic events.
Argao, in his capacity as former Project Coordinator of the Psychotrauma Clinic, led the development and implementation of various projects, including capacity-building programs for women leaders, youth, and military personnel from the armed conflict areas in Central Mindanao, psychosocial support services to survivors and victims of Typhoons Yolanda and the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Project for Brgy. Songcolan in Batan, Aklan, among others. A registered psychologist, he specializes in providing crisis response and rehabilitation for communities affected by disasters and armed conflicts. He is also listed in the International Directory Deployment of the National Center for Crisis Management (NCCM).
The AAETS and NCCM, both based in New York, are international organizations of professionals and academics who are experts in the field of traumatic stress and crisis management.
