Asst. Prof. Georgina Hidalgo, Caloocan City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge, was elected President of the Philippine Judges Association last December 22, 2015.
The election, the first automated one for PJA, saw Hidalgo receive 374 votes from the 620-member body, giving her an authoritative 60.32% victory.
Judge Hidalgo teaches Basic Law and Ethics at the UST Faculty of Civil Law. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of Commerce and Accountancy in 1985, and her Bachelor of Laws from the Faculty of Civil Law in 1989.
