De Castro of History authors chapter in book on leprosy in the Philippines

Assoc. Prof. Maria Eloisa P. de Castro, PhD, of the Faculty of Arts and Letters – Department of History, authored a book chapter entitled “Rediscovering a paradigm: The Franciscan Order’s response to leprosy and the afflicted in the Philippines, 1578-1898.” The chapter forms part of the book “Hidden Lives, Concealed Narratives: A History of Leprosy in the Philippines,” edited by National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) Chief Maria Serena I. Diokno.
 
The book was launched last February 7, 2016 at the NHCP Office in Ermita, Manila.
