Prof. Regalado Trota Jose, Archivist of the University of Santo Tomas, was the first speaker in the International Symposium entitled “Seismic Retrofit of Unreinforced Masonry Heritage Churches in the Philippines,” held from January 13-14, 2016, at the National Museum of the Philippines.
Jose, who helped work on the restoration of the collapsed heritage churches in Bohol during the aftermath of the 2013 earthquake, presented a “Brief Overview of Bohol and Philippine Church Architecture and Construction Technology: Typology of Churches, Towers, and Convents.”
