Jose, Respicio, Manalo author chapters in book on Ilocos textiles

Four Thomasians contributed to chapters and a blurb in the book “Inabel: Philippine Textile from the Ilocos Region,” which will be launched tomorrow, December 2, 2015 (Wednesday), at the Ayala Museum, Makati Ave. cor. De la Rosa St., Makati City.
The faculty members and their respective works are as follows:
– Archivist Regalado T. Jose: Ilocos and Inabel
– Fine Arts professor Norma Respicio: Sturdy and Resplendent, Inabel: the Ilocano Textile Tradition” and “Design Techniques and Weaving Centers
– Architecture professor Michael F. Manalo: Architecture of the Loom
– Conservation of Cultural Property and Environment in the Tropics Director Eric B. Zerrudo: blurb on heritage and the Inabel
Textiles from Ilocos will likewise be exhibited from December 2, 2015 to January 8, 2016. The event was co-sponsored by Ayala Museum and the Design Center of the Philippines, in cooperation with Balay ni Atong and ArtPostAsia, Inc.
