Philippe Jose S. Hernandez, a faculty member of English assigned to teach in the Faculty of Engineering, was recognized by the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology, which organized its 3rd essay writing contest for ASEAN nations.
The contest, with the theme “The importance and challenges of promoting science, technology, and innovation education to the young children in the ASEAN region,” was opened to writers from all over ASEAN.
A total of eight essays were recognized, including Hernandez’s, which was among those that received a Consolation Prize.
