The Secretary-General, Fr. Winston F. Cabading, O.P., and the Director of the Social Media Bureau, Fr. Louie R. Coronel, O.P., recently attended the 23RDAssociation of Southeast and East Asian Catholic Colleges and Universities (ASEACCU) Annual Conference and Student Camp, held from August 25-29, 2015. This year’s host is Soegjiapranata Catholic University, Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia.
During the conference, Most Rev. Ignatius Suharyo , DD, President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Indonesia, said that Catholic education aims to shape more and more mature persons, more and more conformed to the image of the Son, for a person is through whom the Word [of God] resounds.
During the conference, the University of Santo Tomas’ Rector, the Very Rev. Fr. Herminio V. Dagohoy, O.P., was elected the Executive Secretary of the ASEACCU. Accepting the responsibility on his behalf was Fr. Cabading.
The next conference will be held in Broome, Western Australia.
