On the 17th time, held the annual "HONOR OF UST" Hall Medical, Building San Martin de Porres, on 3 May 2016, led by Reb. Richard P. G., OP, PhD, Acting Rector of the University, and Dr. George Lim, MD, President of the UST Faculty Union, the granting of awards to the venerable teacher.
In his opening speech, praised assistant Prop. Cheryl R. Peralta, DrPH, Dean of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences and General Manager of the Committee of Honor of the 17th UST (UST Panel), the teacher as "serves as a living example of the working of the changes in our society." He also expressed his prayer to be "an example to the advancement of excellence in our chosen vocation."
In her message also said Reb. Richard P. G., OP, PhD, "brand excellent teacher three characteristics: interesting companion, pleasant to look at, and pleasant to listen to." He emphasized the Acting Rector of the teacher enjoying the respect and courtesy, but should "not based on respect for power and authority, but in mutual respect."
He also emphasized that the mission of the teacher is to proclaim the truth: "The teacher is speaking the truth that breaks the ignorance."
Invited to the event was Reb. P. Roland D. Mactal, OP, SThD the Convent of Santo Domingo to provide motivation speech. P. Mactal explained the theme of the year of the Jubilee of the Year and the Dominican Order of Mercy, and urged teachers to remain faithful to duty and serve as guidance to students. He asked teachers not immediately give the students showing the weakness of learning, but they should be an example and guidance that will help the child to achieve the desired success.
After the message of P. Mactal, began honoring teachers. Various awards granted to such meetings:
AWARD SANTO TOMAS - It is awarded to teachers who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and performance of duty. They go through the rigorous process, and part of it dealing with the jury looked at their teaching.

After the crowning, expressed their agreement that Prop. Lilian J. Sison, PhD and Prop. Christina A. Simplified, PhD. Wilds Prop. Sison his 45 years service to the University, where he cultivated the "growth of [its] potential and the opportunity to present [his] knowledge." Prof.. Sison, a veteran teacher and administrator, began in the Department of Chemistry in the College of Science; and also served for 20 years at the Graduate School, first as Secretary, and followed as Dean from 2000-2013. He also served as Director of the current Office for Faculty Evaluation and Development and led the Academic Affairs and Research.
In his reply, also thanked Prof.. Consider her students, who inspired and criticism to correct her develop her teaching. He also thanked his teacher, especially former Dean Mariano Pangan the College of Science, Academician B. Fortunato Sevilla III, and Prop. Lilian Sison. He also thanks his family to understand her dedication to teaching and respect his decision to teaching.
