Last April 7, 2016 (Thursday), the University of Santo Tomas’s Hotel and Restaurant Management (College of Tourism and Hospitality Management), Food Science and Technology (College of Education) and Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering (Faculty of Engineering) were officially included in the Commission on Higher Education’s list of qualified programs for the ASEAM International Mobility for Students (AIMS).
This recognition will make UST a haven for AIMS international students in the aforementioned disciplines, which will in turn help increase student mobility in the region.
AIMS, initiated in 2009 as a pilot project among Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization – Regional Centre for Higher Education and Development, aims to create a vibrant student mobility programme for citizens of all SEAMEO member countries.
