Last March 3, 2016 (Thursday), the Counseling and Career Center officials met with officials of the Natasha Goulborn Foundation, in order to collaboratively work on resiliency training. UST and the Foundation have an existing Memorandum of Understanding and have since been working together to achieve common aims. To further its partnership, a group of counselors has initially developed modules on “PATHWAYS TO EMOTIONAL RESILIENCY FOCUSED ON CHILDREN AND YOUTH OF THE PHILIPPINES.”
The Natasha Goulbourn Foundation (NGF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing depression to light through the use of educational lectures, confidential crisis lines and referrals to partner counselors/psychologists. The primary goal is information awareness on depression and how one can prevent, recognize or treat this mental illness. It has existing relationships with World Health Organization (WHO), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Education (DepEd) and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The University of Santo Tomas, through the Counseling and Counseling Center and in collaboration with the College of Science Department of Psychology, has continuously collaborating with NGF for the conduct of seminars and workshops in the University
