Tan Caktiong, ChE alum and Jollibee founder, honored by Pres. Aquino

Jollibee Foods Corporation founde Tony Tan Caktiong, a BS Chemical Engineering graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, was awarded the Gawad Mabini with the rank of Commander (Great Commandments) distinction by President Benigno S. Aquino III, in a simple ceremony last January 17 , 2016 (Sunday) at Malacanang Palace. The recognition was borne out of Tan Caktiong's contributions for being the Co-Chairman of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) and Entrepreneurship Working Group.
